RATE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED

I knew you must have been waiting for this last post. I’m now giving you all the details about SimpleReader‘s powerful back-end. I’ve covered the main elements of the theme in my first post and the page templates that come with the theme in my second post. In case you’ve never seen SimpleReader before, click here to read more details about the theme and here to view the demo site.

Our idea is simple: create an intuitive, self-explanatory theme options panel.

  1. Every option available should be properly described in plain English that people can understand everything without reading the theme documentation.
  2. The theme options and SEO parameters should be very advanced but look easy and simple to follow.
  3. The overall look of the theme options panel should be WordPress-y.

Here’s what we come up with. So without further ado, hereby I present the screenshots of our all-new theme options panel. Click the pictures to view the larger versions.

SimpleReader Features Explained – Part 1

RATE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED

We’re incredibly thrilled to launch SimpleReader, our second theme in July 2011. SimpleReader is a newspaper-styled WordPress theme dedicated to those who are in need of a simple and clean WordPress theme that works wonders. SimpleReader is designed by Firman Firdaus, one of our collaborative designers.

I’m going to cover all features of SimpleReader in 3 blog posts. The home page and the blog post page, two most important pages of a web site, will be this post’s main focus. My second post will cover all the page templates that come with the theme. All features of our all-new theme options panel that powers SimpleReader will be revealed in my last post.

The Home Page

The idea is simple, we wanted to create a design that lets users pick what interests them right away from the first time they visit the website. The home page should be easily navigable, contain relevant and important information only and give spotlight to content. That’s why we came up with the name: SimpleReader. You can view the demo site here.

As you can see, the home page is clutter free. The header and footer sections contain a drop-down menu, a search box, links to inner pages and a line of copyright information. The main section of the home page shows a number of articles with thumbnails and excerpts. At the bottom-right of the page are AJAX page buttons that let users easily navigate through your blog posts. Yes, we’re talking about seamless user experience here.

Equilibria walk-through, understanding all its features

RATE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED

Hey there! We’re so excited that we launched Equilibria last week. We hope this post will explain how easy it is to use the theme. Equilibria is our first multi-purpose WordPress theme, mainly targeting business users who also put their blogs at the frontline of their businesses. Equilibria comes with 3 (three) landing pages and several page templates including a gallery page that functions like the popular iPhone app, Pulse News. The theme comes with 5 (five) preset stylesheets and is ready for customized CSS, giving you the infinite potential of customization.

Three Landing Pages

Business themes are among the most sought-after premium themes in the WordPress business. It’s a fact that’s very understandable; people try to bring their businesses online and consider a premium WordPress theme as one of the investments they should make. However, as an online business grows, a community which is dependent on the business will grow too and business owners will start to think that blog and social networks are key tools to maintain the community. That’s where the problem lies.

Imagine that you’ve started with a WordPress theme that’s only tailored to showcase your products, say a portfolio WordPress theme. What would happen if some time in the near future you needed a blog? Do you think you really have the time to redesign?

That’s what Equilibria is for. It comes with three landing pages (business, blog and portfolio) to cater your current and future uses. No matter how you start your business with (a blog, a business site or a portfolio site), you will always have the ease to expand and explore.

Freebies Alert! 25 Support Licenses for RPG.cod Free

http://colorlabs.co/l5phkm

Everyone loves freebies and we’re so keen on giving these away too. We’ve recently decided to make the most of the social networks (i.e. Facebook and Twitter) and we think it’d be great to spice this up a bit by giving away free support licenses for our latest theme: RPG.cod Free. You can actually download the theme for free, though. But, if you’re up for this ultra-easy task, you will also get a free support license, which is currently priced at $30.

The task is pretty simple. You only need to follow us on Twitter and become a fan of our Facebook page. Once you’ve done that, simply contact us by filling this form! Better be quick as we’ve only got 25 licenses to give away!

What lies behind all this? Well, we’ve never actually used those networks to engage with our current and future customers so hopefully this can be a good start. We’re ready for this now and it’s the right time to build strong userbase and reach out. So, once you’re one of our Twitter followers and Facebook fans, please feel free to interact just the way social networks are meant for. Non-technical issues only, please. We’ve already got the Resolution Center for all the complicated stuff.

Alright, then! Catch you all later!
