I am excited to announce that we are currently working on the development of a new WordPress theme and it will be a Child Theme for Backbone Theme Framework. So far we had 5 Child Themes: magazine, news, multimedia, portfolio and business/corporate theme. This next creation will be an e-commerce child theme and obviously there will be more coming.

Meanwhile here a sneak preview of the upcoming child theme for Backbone. The design is about 80% ready and we will move to the WordPress development stage tomorrow. Stay tuned!

We are going to release another Child Theme for Backbone Framework. The new Child Theme will be released by the end of this week and it will be a photoblog/portfolio WordPress theme. We haven’t really decided on the name yet, so if you have any idea feel free to write it down on the comment. :)

The main purpose of the upcoming Child Theme is to showcase photography, so we keep the graphics and distracting imagery to a minimum and only use neutral colors to maintain the focus on the pictures. The theme has white background color that works with all your photos, letting the photography steal the show.

We are currently working on a magazine style theme and it will be a new Child Theme for Backbone Framework. As usual, before we launched it we wanted to write a quick blog post to show you the upcoming theme design.

We have another great theme in the works, and I am excited to give everyone a sneak preview of our upcoming magazine theme. Though magazine themes might be considered a bit overdone, they are our most popular and the demand is still very high. So we want to make sure that ColorLabs has the best variety and most up-to-date style of magazine theme.

This one is designed by Andre Septian and it will be called Le Journal. Le Journal will be versatile enough to be used for a variety of purposes, with custom widgets, different post and page layouts, video support and much more. And it will be full responsive too.

Hi everyone,

We’re in the process of creating a new addition to the ColorLabs’ WordPress theme collection and I wanted to gather a bit of feedback as we get it ready. This time we are working on a design of portfolio website for photographers.

We have never really made portfolio theme before but there are quite a few choices are out there already so we are positive the cake is big enough for another player. For the first portfolio design we think it is safe go with minimalist look to make it timeless. We requested one of our co-designers, Andre Septian, because we just love his design of Sneakers Addict.

So here is your first look at the upcoming ColorLabs portfolio WordPress theme. We still haven’t decided on the name yet so feel free to suggest one.

The wave of selling online is just starting and we believe e-commerce themes have a lot of prospect. So in case you’ve been looking for a nice e-commerce theme for your website or any ongoing projects, we’ve got something coming up for you. We are going to work on yet another e-commerce WordPress theme called  ”Sneakers Addict“, designed by Andre Septian.

Sneakers Addict is very simple by using more white space and a dark theme on menu navigation. The design doesn’t highlight only the content, it also put the products in the spotlight by using subtle effect and images. Backed by a cool color scheme and beautiful typography that nicely fits the overall feel of the theme. The ribbon placed on the left upper corner of the product is a nice touch and it’s interesting how Andre also add cool effect on the product details.

Good website navigation is essential for any site, but much more so for e-commerce sites interactive. So we’re going to provide a sophisticated product filter this time where customers can filter based on price, materials, categories, brands and even colors.

Wow, who would have thought that it’s been 6 weeks since my last theme sneak peek post. We were so caught up working with Backbone that time just fly by. Don’t worry. We are not being lazy.

Over the past few weeks along with developing our Backbone Theme Framework we have also been hard at work developing two robust WordPress themes. I have featured the first one on my previous sneak peek post (check it out and make sure you leave a feedback or two :D).

The second theme we are working on is called Neu. Neu will be a magazine/news theme ideal for content-heavy websites.

Backbone is undergoing beta testing. Our Dev Team dedicate most of their working hours evaluating feedback from testers, calibrating and fine-tuning to ensure you will have the best WordPress experience possible. Now that the Beta has been going for more than a week we wanted to give you a bit of insight into how it went and what our next steps are.

As several high street fashion retailers enveloped their online channels, we believe the market for fashion e-commerce will continue to grow. The rise of internet penetration has impacted the online clothing market, sales of online fashion has doubled over the last five years and will continue to grow.
