Upcoming Blog and Newspaper Theme Teaser

http://colorlabs.co/wYZLMb

I’d love to introduce to some of our upcoming themes which will be released over the course of this month. Recently two new theme designs from our co-designers, one is a blog and the other is a newspaper style. And since we just launched Neu last week, a news website theme with magazine style, we decided to work on both designs and dedicate this month to the web publishing industry.

Upcoming blog and newspaper WordPress theme

For the first time ever, meet Momentum and Reportage.

Momentum

The first theme lining up in the pipeline is a blog theme called Momentum. Designed by Muhammad Zulkarnain, Momentum has clean and sleek design which delivers sophisticated feel. The big slider on top and the circular-shaped post thumbnail are part of the cool things you can have with this theme. Momentum will include all brilliant features that our other blog themes include.

Reportage

The next theme is a newspaper style theme designed by Firman Firdaus, called Reportage. Just like Momentum, Reportage also has a more sophisticated design than its predecessor. If you look carefully, Reportage is built in such a way that will emphasize every necessary element at the right place and grab right amount of attention. Reportage offers a clear, explicit and direct overview of your content, by professionally making use of typography, layout composition, colors and breathing space. It is also a theme ideal for almost every industry and all kind of topics.

I am really excited by Reportage.  I’m currently using Arthemia Premium, but I can see switching to Reportage when it’s ready.

I would just hope that Reportage has at least the amount of configuration options that Arthemia 3.6 has, if not more.  One thing I want is the ability to overlay headline text in a semi-transparent grey box on top of certain images.  I have seen people customize Arthemia to do that but I don’t yet know how.  In general I want to be able to customize the heck out of CSS, so please not only allow that but also provide more documentation in your css files.  In some cases it’s been hard for me to figure out what affects what, and I have to spend hours experimenting…

Oh, and please provide more support for multi authorship on themes like that.  There are some plugins for it but I’ve been disappointed in them.  You can see my Staff page at http://post404.com/staff and I could really use a better tool…
