The line separating professional and amateur photography has become thinner than ever as DSLR cameras really took off among bloggers, young adults and even teens and kids all around the world. Camera phones has advanced significantly in terms of quality over the past years that they can now produce images in very high resolution. With the rise of Facebook, Instagram and all social networks alike, online photo galleries are popping pretty much everywhere all over the Internet. A certain group of people, however, prefer to keep photos in their own space, publish them the way the want, and let them be accessed beyond the boundaries of social networks. To those special people, we present our brand new FREE WordPress theme that we call Lensa.

Over the past few weeks, the team has been working on something beyond themes. We thought developing a plugin would be just as challenging and we finally decided to set foot on it and see where it’d go. So today, we’re releasing our very first WordPress plugin, the Laboratory. If you’d now rather try the plugin right away and skip whatever there is down below, go check out the download link over at WordPress.org.

Developing a theme is a journey that we really enjoy and can’t get enough of. Very recently, we developed a brand new theme, called Photogram, put some premium touch on it and made it available for FREE, for the WordPress community.
Design-wise, we were heavily inspired by one of the most popular photo-sharing platforms, Pinterest. We really admire their idea of putting photos together on one page, stacking them on one another, reinforcing the message that the photos are conveying. We wanted to bring that experience onto WordPress.
It’s been quite a while since the last time we released a free WordPress theme so we’re just as excited as you probably are now.
Leatherly is our way of saying ‘thanks’ to the amazing WordPress community. Wonderfully crafted by an Indonesian renowned web designer, Richard Fang, Leatherly is a free WordPress theme specifically created for those who want to benefit from the web on a brief one-page website. If you want to use the web to showcase your work and find leads and clients, Leatherly is definitely for you. Imagine a web page showing the latest post of your online journal, several photo shots of your favorite, a brief résumé showing your abilities/skills rating, and a contact form at the bottom of the page that intrigues people to get in touch with you and seal the deal. It’s simple yet packed with awesome details.
We can’t wait to show you this genius design, so here is a preview of the Leatherly Theme.
We know how much you love freebies and we are in the giving mood. Wellblog, which was built specifically for those looking for a standard blog design, is now available for free!
If you use WordPress to blog about food, cooking, or recipes, then this theme is specially tailored for you. So with this free release, we are now already boasting three, very nice free themes.
The decision to make this theme available for free now, after initially releasing it as a paid theme, might look strange to you, but we can assure you that there’s nothing dodgy about this decision at all. With our free themes, we are trying to keep things really simple as the themes are targeted at the mainstream/mass market. This doesn’t mean that the quality of the theme is not on par with our other themes, since these free themes are there to give the general public the opportunity to experience ColorLabs free of charge.
So enjoy this free release and if you’re impressed with the quality of the theme, consider buying one of our premium themes.
Everyone loves freebies and we’re so keen on giving these away too. We’ve recently decided to make the most of the social networks (i.e. Facebook and Twitter) and we think it’d be great to spice this up a bit by giving away free support licenses for our latest theme: RPG.cod Free. You can actually download the theme for free, though. But, if you’re up for this ultra-easy task, you will also get a free support license, which is currently priced at $30.
The task is pretty simple. You only need to follow us on Twitter and become a fan of our Facebook page. Once you’ve done that, simply contact us by filling this form! Better be quick as we’ve only got 25 licenses to give away!
What lies behind all this? Well, we’ve never actually used those networks to engage with our current and future customers so hopefully this can be a good start. We’re ready for this now and it’s the right time to build strong userbase and reach out. So, once you’re one of our Twitter followers and Facebook fans, please feel free to interact just the way social networks are meant for. Non-technical issues only, please. We’ve already got the Resolution Center for all the complicated stuff.
Alright, then! Catch you all later!
