Installing Equilibria

There are two ways to install Equilibria theme on your WordPress:

1. Installing via WordPress Dashboard

1. Navigate to your WordPress Admin Menu and open Appearance → Themes section
2. Switch to Install Themes tab
3. Select Upload
4. Browse for .zip file on your computer and install it
5. Activate theme

2. Installing via FTP

1. Open your FTP Client Application (example : FileZilla)
2. Fill the login details (host, username, and password) then press quick connect
3. Go to ‘wp-content’ folder
4. Go to ‘themes’ folder
5. Extract the equilibria.zip file into your local drive then search the current location and upload the equilibria folder

Got an error during installation process? Try the following:

• If you are upgrading the Equilibria theme via WordPress Admin menu open your ‘Equilibria.zip’ and rename the ‘Equlibria‘ folder before uploading. Eg: equilibria2. Then press Enter
• Make sure you are using the latest version of WordPress
• Make sure your hosting is running the latest version of PHP and MySQL
• Try to upload manually via FTP (FileZilla)
• Be sure you have at least PHP 4.3 with GD-library installed on your server. PHP 5 is better. GD library is something that can be installed by your web server admin. If you do not have this, please ask for that to your web administrator, and also at least WordPress 3.2 engine is installed

Theme Overview

Theme Update

The new Equilibria theme already have automatic theme update feature. By this feature you can update the easily also there will be a notification if theme update available. Make sure if you update your framework version first then your theme.

If you already update the framework and framework version still the same but a yellow notification already there, you can click on ‘updates’ tab to refresh framework version number.

Also there are several requirements that you must have to use this feature:

1. WordPress version v 3.4xx
2. cURL enabled (ussualy this feature already enabled by your hosting provider)
3. Latest PHP version
4. FTP allow to edit theme files (FTP is not protected)

General Settings

Before you can start creating some content these are the first-time settings that you have to do:

1. Settings: Go to WordPress dashboard → Equilibria → Dashboard → General Settings. To operate the theme panels, you can drag and drop icon settings from left to grey area at the right
2. Style Sheet: You can set theme style sheet from this option, you can choose blue, brown, green, purple and red. Theme style sheet will affect links, header, footer, menu navigation and buttons color

3. Favicon: You can also set your own favicon. If you don’t have one, you can use favicon generator
4. Tabbed Carousel: At front page a tabbed carousel will be displayed. By this option you can set which category(ies) you want to display
5. Default Thumbnail: By this option you can upload a default image. If you have a post without any image on it, this default image will displayed as it thumbnail
6. Excerpt Length: By this option you can set global excerpt length
7. Set Default Image: By default, default image is set to be enable. By this option you can disable it
8. Contact Button: At front page and also at Business page template you can displaying a contact button which can be set to re-direct to any url. By inserting a url here, contact button will automatically displayed
9. Footer Profile: By this option you can type a profile description or anything here. At the text area you can also type any HTML tag
10. Footer Credits: You can also have your own credits at footer. At the text area you can also type any HTML tag
11. Press Trends Tracking: This feature will tell us if there is any bug found and report how our customers use our theme to improve the theme feature for next update. None of your personal information is sent to us

Business Page Settings

1. Settings: Go to WordPress dashboard → Equilibria → Dashboard → Business Page Settings
2. Headline: By this option you can set which page should be displayed at front page and business page template. This section will displaying page excerpt and also page thumbnail
3. Page List: By this option you can set which page should be displayed at page list section, you can set up to 4 page to be displayed at this section. This section will displayed below headline section and also this section will displaying page excerpt and page thumbnail
4. Page Order: By this option you can set how page list ordered by. You can choose descending, ascending, release date, page order or random order

Page templates

Equilibria support several page templates for you here the way to set it:

1. Page Template: Equilibria have several page templates, to use it you can choose which template you want to use. To use page template you can simply type page title, choose page template then publish it
2. Page Subtitle: By this option you can have a page subtitle which will be displayed below page title
3. Page Excerpt: By default page excerpt will be generated from page content but by this option you can type your own excerpt
4. Shortcode: Equilibria also support several shortcodes. Shortcodes can be used to displaying icon links, buttons, custom typography, etc. To use this shortcode your click on Lemuel head icon
5. Custom SEO: You can also set a custom SEO for your post/page. You can set SEO follow (allow search engine to follow any links at your post/page) and SEO no index (prevent search engine to track your post/page)

Import/Export Settings

Equilibria also have import/export feature which will allow you who manage several sites using same theme to import/export theme panel settings.

Add Menu

Equilibria have 1 menu navigation section. To set what item(s) should be displayed there you can go to WordPress dashboard → Appearance → Menus. To set the menu items, please follow this instructions:

1. Menu Group: Before adding any menu items, you will need to create a menu group first. To create it you can simply type the menu name
   
2. Menu Items: After create menu group you can add pages, posts, category  or maybe a custom url
   
3. Menu Navigation: After adding menu items to menu group then you can attach which menu group you want to display at primary navigation
