Installing Modernizm

There are two ways to install Modernzim Premium theme on your WordPress:

1. Installing via WordPress Dashboard

1. Navigate to your WordPress Admin Menu and open Appearance ? Themes section
2. Switch to Install Themes tab
3. Select Upload
4. Browse for .zip file on your computer and install it
5. Activate theme

2. Installing via FTP

1. Open your FTP Client Application (example : FileZilla)
2. Fill the login details (host, username, and password), then press Quickconnect
3. Go to ‘wp-content’ folder
4. Go to ‘themes’ folder
5. Extract the modernizm.zip file into your local drive then search the current location and upload the modernizm-premium folder

Got an error during installation process? Try the following:

• If you are upgrading the Modernizm Premium theme via WordPress Admin menu, open your ‘Modernizm.zip’, rename the ‘modernizm‘ folder before uploading. Eg: modernizm2. Then press Enter
• Make sure you are using the latest version of WordPress
• Make sure your hosting is running the latest version of PHP and MySQL
  Try to upload manually via FTP (FileZilla)
• Be sure you have at least PHP 4.3 with GD-library installed on your server. PHP 5 is better. GD library is something that can be installed by your web server admin. If you do not have this, you can ask for that to your web administrator, and also at least WordPress 3.5 engine is installed

Automatic Update:

At Modernizm theme, starts from Modernizm version 1.4.1 we already add a new feature which will help you to get the latest updates from us. You can update your framework first before updating your theme, this framework will bring several bug fix (the kitchen codes, core files). Also there is an automatic theme update which will help you to update the theme easily. If you have a problem when do the update, please:

• Make sure if your hosting provider support cURL feature
• Make sure if folder directory named wp-content permission at least 755 or 777
• Make sure if you are using the login information which is given when you purchase our products, also make sure if the information is valid. You can check your login information by login into our member site

Theme Overview

Theme Dashboard

Modernizm is using a new version of our theme panel. This new panel will provide you to the more impressive experience to explore our themes.

There are 4 sub menus inside of it. They are:

Dashboard

Dashboard panel contains a few of settings to customize Wireline theme. Within this panel you can configure the theme and customize its layout. Just drag and drop the option from the left column into the right column to show all sub-options inside of it.

SEO Settings

This feature will help you who just new to WordPress. With this feature you don’t have to think about SEO, we already prepared all of your needs here, but still it is just a basic SEO function.

For you who have already known or maybe expert on WordPress, you can download many SEO plugins which are available at WordPress.org and our SEO function will automatically turned off to prevent a plugin crash.

Customizer Importer

This feature talking about WordPress v 3.4.1 new feature, MaxCustomizer. But this is not a customizer it is a function that will help you to import/export what you have customize on customizer. To check the MaxCustomizer settings, you can go to the theme demo page and click on Customizr icon (brush icon) to displaying the MaxCustomizer settings.

After you make some modification, you can export the MaxCustomizer from our demo page and import it to your theme dashboard at directory: WordPress dashboard → Wireline → Customizer Importer

Updates

If there is an update available, update feature will tell you by a notification. You can update your framework and theme automatically but be careful because if your site already modified a lot with theme update function, all of your work will be gone. So please make a back-up files first before updating your theme.

Note: If you have already updated your framework but your framework version still not updated and yellow notification has already appeared, it means if your framework already updated. To refresh the framework version information you can click on ‘updates’ tab and your framework version will be refreshed.

For theme update, make sure that your wp-content folder is not protected and also cURL is enabled at your hosting provider.

Adding Page

1. Shortcodes: To use a shortcode, you can click on Lemuel’s head icon to check the options available
   
2. Page Template: Wireline have several page templates which can be used to improve your blogging experience, they are sitemap and contact page template

Adding Post

1. Shortcodes: To use a shortcode, you can click on Lemuel’s head icon to check the options available
2. Post Format: By this option you can choose what post format you want to make. Every post format has its own design, but the default one is standard post format. (Only for gallery post format, all images that uploaded into your post will be displayed, even if those images are not added inside the post)
3. Item To Show: There are 3 options available:
   • None: This is the default value if you are not going to use the other 2 options
   • Custom Post Image: Basically custom post image is same as featured image which will not displayed on post content, just as the post thumbnail
   • Video Embed Code: To have a video thumbnail displayed, you have to put the video embed code to this text area. Your code should be displayed like this one:

     <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/PLYo9E_zjyY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
     

     Make sure if you only use an embed code from popular video sharing like Youtube or Vimeo

4. Post Custom Images: This is the location where the options of #3 (item to show) will be displayed
5. Audio URL: If at option #2 you choose to publish an audio post, then you can upload your audio from this option (not all music format is allowed by WordPress, you can upload a music file with extension: mp3, m4a, wav, ogg only)

Theme Options

To access the dashboard, you can go to WordPress dashboard → Modernizm → Dashboard. You can drag and drop the menu navigation icon from left to right area to displaying an options behind it.

General Settings

1. Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the General Settings icon from left to right section
   
2. Background Color: By this option you can choose what color you want to use as the background color
3. Custom Favicon: You can also upload a custom icon as your site favicon
4. Custom Logo: You can upload your own logo from this option with image dimension of 153 x 51 px (best display)
5. Press Trends Tracking: This feature will help us to undestand how our customer use our themes, none of your personal information will be sent to us
6. Disable Responsive: By this option you can choose whether to use a responsive design or not (by responsive design, your site will automatically resize depends on screen size)

Post Settings

1. Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Post Settings icon from left to right section
   
2. Post Layout: By this option you can choose how many sidebar you want to displaying

Front Page Settings

1. Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Front Page Settings icon from left to right section
   
2. Headline Section: By this option you can choose which category you want to display at headline section
3. Featured Section: By this option you can choose which category you want to display at featured section

Social Networking

1. Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Social Networking Settings icon from left to right section
   
2. Social URL: By this option you can put your social url at the available text field. There are Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn which is available
3. Social Share Buttons: By this option you can choose which social share buttons that you want to display at the single post (there are Facebook, Twitter and Google share button which is available)

Thumbnail Settings

1. Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Thumbnail Settings icon from left to right section
   
2. Featured Images: If this option is active, an image which is set as featured will be displayed as your post/page thumbnail
3. Dynamic Resize: If this option is active, your image will dynamically resized, this feature require a PHP version minimum v 5.2 (higher is better)
4. Hard Crop: If this option is active, your image will hard cropped, this feature is using timthumb to proceed
5. Timthumb Image Resizer: If this option is inactive, all options on timthumb settings will be turned off
6. Automatic Thumbnail: By default if option #2 is active, this option will take any image available on your post/page as your post/page thumbnail (first image uploaded on your post/page or featured image), but featured image is priority (if option #2 is active)
7. Image on RSS Feed: If this option is active, you will have an image on your RSS feed

Analytics ID, RSS Feed

1. Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Analytics and RSS Feed Settings icon from left to right section
   
2. GoSquared Token: You can integrate this theme with GoSquared by put your token at the text box
3. Google Analytics: This theme also can be integrate with Google Analytics by put the analytics code at the text area
4. FeedBurner URL: To enable the FeedBurner feature, you can put the url of your feed at the text box

Footer Settings

1. Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Sidebar Settings icon from left to right section
   
2. Custom Credit: If this option is active, a text area will be displayed. On the text area you can type any HTML code on it

Contact Form

1. Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Contact Form Settings icon from left to right section
   
2. Destination Address: You can put your e-mail address at the text field, all email inquiry made at contact page template will be send to this e-mail address

Gallery Page

1. Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Gallery Page Settings icon from left to right section
2. Show Post Limit: At this option you can put any number to displaying how many posts will be displayed on your gallery page template
3. No Image: At this option you can upload any image to replace a post(s) which is have no image on it
