Installing Narcilicious

There are two ways to install Narcilicious theme on your WordPress:

1. Installing via WordPress Dashboard

1. Navigate to your WordPress Admin Menu and open Appearance → Themes section
2. Switch to Install Themes tab
3. Select Upload
4. Browse for .zip file on your computer and install it
5. Activate theme

2. Installing via FTP

1. Open your FTP Client Application (example: FileZilla)
2. Fill the login details (host, username, and password) then press Quickconnect
3. Go to ‘wp-content’ folder
4. Go to ‘themes’ folder
5. Extract the narcilicious.zip file into your local drive then search the current location and upload the narcilicious folder

Got an error during installation process? Try the following:

• If you are upgrading the Narcilicious theme via WordPress Admin menu open your ‘narcilicious.zip’ and rename the ‘narcilicious’ folder before uploading. Eg: narcilicious2. Then press Enter
• Make sure you are using the latest version of WordPress
• Make sure your hosting is running the latest version of PHP and MySQL
  Try to upload manually via FTP (FileZilla)

Theme Overview

General Settings

Before you can start creating some content these are the first-time settings that you have to do:

1. Go to Narcilicious Options → General Settings
2. Set your website’s favicon. Upload a 16x16px .ico image. Click here to generate your favicon
3. You can put your GoSquared token
4. You can put your Google Analytics or other code tracking codes
5. There is an option to modify the footer credit on the footer section
6. Presstrends tracking is our feature to know how our customer use our theme. We use this feature for the next upgrade of theme you use. But there will be no personal information we get, so your privacy is safe.
   It’s your choice to use it or not

Styling Options

In this section, you can specify how your website look like:

1. Go to Narcilicious Options → Styling Options
2. You can specify a color for your website’s link
3. You can specify a color for your website’s link hover
4. You can specify a color for your website’s button
5. You can specify a color for your website’s button hover
6. You can specify a color for your website’s button text
7. Also you can specify your custom CSS for your website. This feature won’t remove the original style of your theme

Layout Options

1. Go to Narcilicious Options → Layout Options
2. Choose any category that you want to show in the headline section
3. Choose any category that you want to show in the portfolio page
4. Specify the number of articles that you want to show on the gallery page
5. Specify the number of posts that you want to show on the recent posts section
6. Specify the number of most discussed posts that you want to show on the most discussed section
7. Specify the number of most adorable posts that you want to show on the most adorable section
8. Specify the maximum number of words that you want to show as an excerpt in posts
9. There is an option to enable/disable comment in blog posts
10. There is an option to enable/disable comment in blog pages

Gallery page

Dynamic Images

1. Go to Narcilicious Options → Dynamic Images
2. There is an option to use WordPress Featured Image or not. If you prefer to use it, there are two additional options:

• Dynamic Resize: If this options is enabled, the thumbnail in each post will be resized dynamically using WordPress native function
• Hard Crop: The original image will be cropped to match the target aspect ratio

3. There is an option to enable TimThumb.php script which will dynamically re-size images added through post custom field
4. There is an option to generate post thumbnail automatically from the first image in post

Social Networking

1. Go to Narcilicious Options → Social Networking
2. Specify your social networking accounts that you are going to integrate to your website. There are Facebook and Twitter account available
3. Also there are options to enable/disable social networking button that you are ging to display on your website. There are Facebook share button, StumbleUpon button, and Delicious button

Contact Form

Go to Narcilicious Options → Contact Form. Specify the email addres that you are going to use in the contact form.

Ratings Options

Go to Narcilicious Options → Ratings Options. In this section, you can choose rating logging method that you are going to use.

Sidebar

1. Go to WordPress Administrator Panel → Appearance → Widgets
2. If you want to add widgets in your sidebar, simply drag any available widget to the sidebar column on the right. There are two sidebars available for you:

• Sidebar: This sidebar only appears in your home page
• Single content: This sidebar only appears in the single post/page view

Narcilicious provides 10 additional widget that you can use in your sidebar. They are:
