Sneakers Addict

Installing Sneakers Addict Theme

There are two ways to install Sneakers Addict theme on your WordPress:

1. Installing via WordPress Dashboard

  1. Navigate to your WordPress Admin Menu and open Appearance → Themes section
  2. Switch to Install Themes tab
  3. Select Upload
  4. Browse for .zip file on your computer and install it
  5. Activate theme

2. Installing via FTP

  1. Open your FTP Client Application (example: FileZilla)
  2. Fill the login details (host, username and password) then press quick connect
  3. Go to ‘wp-content’ folder
  4. Go to ‘themes’ folder
  5. Extract the sneakers-addict.zip file into your local drive then search the current location and upload the sneakers-addict folder

Got an error during installation process? Try the following:

  • If you are upgrading the Sneakers Addict theme via WordPress Admin menu open your ‘sneakers-ddict.zip’ and rename the ‘sneakers-addict’ folder before uploading. Eg: sneakers-addict2. Then press Enter
  • Make sure you are using the latest version of WordPress
  • Make sure your hosting is running the latest version of PHP and MySQL
    Try to upload manually via FTP (FileZilla)

Installing Plugin

Sneakers Addict theme can be run within of of these 3 plugins. They are WP e-Commerce plugin, Jigoshop plugin and WooCommerce plugin.

1. Installing WP e-Commerce plugin

  1. Navigate to WP e-Commerce plugin homepage and download the plugin package
  2. Navigate to your WordPress Admin Menu and open Plugins → Add New → Upload
  3. Browse for .zip file on your computer and install it
  4. Activate plugin

  1. Navigate to Jigoshop plugin homepage and download the plugin package
  2. Navigate to your WordPress Admin Menu and open Plugins → Add New → Upload
  3. Browse for .zip file on your computer and install it

  1. Navigate to WooCommerce plugin homepage and download the plugin package
  2. Navigate to your WordPress Admin Menu and open Plugins → Add New → Upload

Sneakers Addict Overview

Sneakers Addict is a WordPress theme for e-commerce website. It is designed and developed for casual fashion, clothing stores, and independent fashion lines.

Sneakers Addict Frontpage

Theme Panel

Sneakers Addict uses a new version of our theme panel. This new panel will provides you more impressive experience to explore our themes. There are 4 sub menus inside of it. They are:

Dashboard

Dashboard panel contains a lot of settings to customize Sneakers Addict theme. Within this panel you can configure the theme, customize its layout and optimize your website’s SEO. Just drag and drop the option from the left column into the right column to show all sub-options inside of it.

Update Framework

You will be informed the version of the theme panel framework you are currently use. Also you can update you framework to the latest version within this panel.

Theme Info

This contains general information about Sneakers Addict such as product version, framework vesion, license type and links to product support.

Import Export Settings

This provides a feature for you to import or export your theme settings into a text file.

Theme Options

There are many options available to customize the theme: social networking, thumbnail images and also contact settings. They are:

General Settings

Go to Sneakers Addict → Dashboard → Theme Options → General Settings. This provides general settings for your website. They are:

  1. Use for Blog Title/Logo: There are 2 options available, they are ‘Logo’ and ‘Title’. Choose which option you prefer to set where your website header gets the source. The option ‘Title’ means that your website title will be used as the website header logo
  2. Custom Logo: If you prefer to use logo for your website header, set your website’s logo by uploading an image or by attaching a URL (external image)
  3. Custom Favicon: Set your website’s favicon. Upload a 16x16px .ico image. Click here to generate your favicon
  4. Main Layout: There are 2 layout options available to use as your main website layout
  5. Enable/Disable Recaptcha: Enable this feature to protect your site against spam registrations
  6. Recaptcha Public Key: Enter your public key
  7. Recaptcha Private Key: Enter your private key
  8. Choose theme: Choose a color scheme to be applied on your website
  9. Enable Presstrends Tracking: This feature will allow us to see how you are using our themes. None of your personal data will be sent to us

Frontpage Settings

Go to Sneakers Addict → Dashboard → Theme Options → Frontpage Settings. This provides settings to configure how your website frontpage looks like. They are:

  1. Product Category Spoiler: Select category which its product will be displayed in the spoiler section
  2. Latest Product Limit: Specify the number of product will be displayed in the latest product section
  3. Latest Post Limit: Specify the number of post will be displayed in the latest post section

Social Networking

Go to Sneakers Addict → Dashboard → Theme Options → Social Networking. Enable/disable Social Share Button you would like to display on the single post and pages. There are Facebook Like Button, Twitter Share Button and Google +1 Button available.

Open Graph Setting

Go to Sneakers Addict → Dashboard → Theme Options → Open Graph Settings. This contain settings to configure Open Graph feature on your website. You can enable/disable this feature also there are options to specify the site name, open graph admin info and an image url to be set as open graph image.

Thumbnail Settings

Go to Sneakers Addict → Dashboard → Theme Options → Thumbnail Settings. This provide settings to configure how the theme will generate the thumbnail images and its size. They are:

  1. jQuery Lightbox Animation: Enable or disable jQuery lighbox animation on thumbnails
  2. WordPress Featured Image: Enable this feature if you prefer to use this feature to generate thumbnail images on your website. If you enable this, there are two additional options:
    • Dynamic Resize: If this options is enabled, the thumbnail in each post will be resized dynamically using WordPress native function
    • Hard Crop: The original image will be cropped to match the target aspect ratio
  3. Timthumb Image Resizer: If you enable this feature, the script will dynamically re-size images added through post custom field
  4. Automatic Thumbnail: Enable this feature to allow the theme generates post thumbnail automatically from the first image in post
  5. Thumbnail Images in RSS Feed: Enable this feature to allow the theme generates post thumbnail in RSS feed article
  6. Thumbnail Image Dimennsions: You can specify the thumbnail image size that you are going to use on your website

Analytics ID, RSS Feed

Go to Sneakers Addict → Dashboard → Theme Options → Analytics ID, RSS Feed. In this section, you can:

  1. Put your GoSquared token
  2. Put your google analytics script in your website
  3. Specify your feedburner URL
  4. Specify the feedburner comments URL

Footer Settings

Go to Sneakers Addict → Dashboard → Theme Options → Footer Settings. In this section, you can specify a text to be displayed as a custom credit in the footer section.

Contact Form

Go to Sneakers Addict → Dashboard → Theme Options → Contact to specify your email address which will be be used in the contact form on your website.

SEO Settings

This panel provides settings to encourage your website Search Engine Optimization.

Page Title

Go to Sneakers Addict → Dashboard → SEO Settings → Page Title. In this section, there are options to set how the title of every page in your website will be displayed. They are:

  1. Blog Title: Specify a text you want to display as a blog title
  2. Blog Description: Specify a sentence you want to display as a blog description
  3. Separator: Specify a character you would like to use as a separator in page title
  4. Custom Page Titles: Enable or disable this feature on your website. If you enable this option, there are additional options available. They are:
    • Homepage Title Layout: You can define the order of the elements on your homepage
    • Single Title Layout: You can define the order of the elements on the single title layout
    • Page Title Layout: You can define the order of the elements on the page title layout
    • Archive Title Layout: You can define the order of the elements on the archive title layout
    • Page Number: You can specify a text that precedes page number in page titles
    • Page Number Position: You can define the position you want to display the page number on your website

Description Meta

Go to Sneakers Addict → Dashboard → SEO Settings → Description Meta. In this section, there are options to set meta description of your website. They are:

  1. Homepage Description: There are 3 options available to choose. Each option describes the source where the home page meta description is populated
  2. Custom Homepage Description: Specify a decription of your homepage
  3. Single Page/Post Description: There are 3 options available you can choose the source where the single page/post meta description is populated
  4. Global Post/Page Description: Enable or disable custom meta description on your posts and pages

Keyword Meta

Go to Sneakers Addict → Dashboard → SEO Settings → Keyword Meta. In this section, there are options to set keyword meta of your website. They are:

  1. Homepage Keywords: There are 2 options available to choose. Each option describes the source where the homepage meta keywords is populated
  2. Custom Homepage Keywords: Specify a custom homepage keywords of your website. Separate each keyword using comma
  3. Single Page/Post Keywords: There are 3 options available you can choose the source where the single page/post meta keywords is populated
  4. Global Post/Page Keywords: Enable or disable custom meta keywords on your posts and pages

Indexing Options

Go to Sneakers Addict → Dashboard → SEO Settings → Indexing options. There are options available:

  1. Archive Pages to Index: Select which archive page to be indexed
  2. Add Follow Meta to Posts and Pages: Enable or disable a feature to add follow meta in all of your posts and pages

Advanced Options

Go to Sneakers Addict → Dashboard → SEO Settings → Advanced options. There is option available to enable or disable 3rd party plugin data and also there is an option to hide ColorLabs SEO Settings box from the post and page editing screens.

Using WP e-Commerce plugin

WP e-Commerce plugin will generate a new additional panel on your WordPress dashboard. It is Products panel. It contains 6 sub menus, they are:

  1. Products: Similar to All Post panel, you can add, edit or delete product you want to show on your website
  2. Ad New: Within this menu, you can add new product on your website. There are some additional sub-panel to specify your product specification. They are:
    • Product Tags: Similar to post tags, you can specify tags for your each product
    • Product Categories: Similar to post categories, you can specify which categories your product belongs to
    • Price Control: Specify a price for your product
    • Stock Control: You can control the stock of your product in this menu
    • Taxes: Specify a taxable amount if your product is taxable
    • Variation Panel: Use this panel if your product has a variation. (e.g. color, size, etc)
    • Off Site Product Link: Use this panel if your product is also for sale on another website. Specify an external link where your product is sold
    • Additional Description
    • Product Download: If your product is available to download, you can attached its file into this panel. A maximum file size allowed is 128 M
    • Product Images: Specify an image for your product
    • Shipping: Specify a shipping information for your product
    • Advanced Settings: Within this menu, you can specify an advanced settings for your product (e.g. custom meta, merchant notes, enable/disable comment, etc)
  3. Product Tags: Similar to post tags, you can add, edit, and delete your product tags you would use in your website
  4. Product Categories: Similar to Categories, you can add, edit, and delete your ad categories you would use in your website
  5. Variations: Add, edit, and delete your product variations on your website
  6. Coupon: Specify a coupon details if any

Using Jigoshop plugin

After you have installed Jigoshop plugin, it will generate some new additional panels on your WordPress dashboard. They are Jigoshop, Products and Orders panel.

  1. Jigoshop panel contains 3 sub menus. They are:
    • Dashboard: Dashboard panel contains a general information about your products (e.g. stock) and sales performance (e.g. number of sales per day, orders)
    • Settings: Within this menu, you will find some configuration options for Jigoshop plugin
    • System Information
  2. Products panel. It contains 6 sub-menus. They are:
    • All Products: Similar to All Post panel, you can add, edit or delete product you want to show on your website
    • Add Products: Within this menu, you can add new product on your website. There are some additional sub-panel to specify your product specification. They are:
      1. Product Categories: Similar to post categories, you can specify which categories your product belongs to
      2. Product Tags: Similar to post tags, you can specify tags for your each product
      3. Product Data: Within this menu, you can specify the specification of your product. There are general information, pricing information, inventory information and attributes information available to specify
    • Product Categories: Similar to Categories, you can add, edit, and delete your ad categories you would use in your website
    • Product Tags: Similar to post tags, you can add, edit, and delete your product tags you would use in your website
    • Variations: Add, edit and delete your product variations on your website
    • Attributes: You can specify an extra data for your product (e.g. size, color)
  3. Orders. It contains 2 sub-menus. They are
    • All Orders: Within this menu, you can manage all orders of your products sold on your website
    • Add Order: Within this menu, you can add new order based on your customer information

Using WooCommerce plugin

WooCommerce plugin will generate 2 new additional panels on your WordPress dashboard. They are WooCommerce panel and Products panel.

  1. WooCommerce panel contains 4 sub menus. They are:
    • Settings: Within this menu, you will find some configuration options for Jigoshop plugin
    • Reports: Dashboard panel contains some report about your sales, customers and stock
    • Orders: Within this menu, you can manage all orders of your products
    • Coupons: Specify a coupon details if any
  2. Products panel. It contains 5 sub-menus. They are:
    • Products: Similar to All Post panel, you can add, edit or delete product you want to show on your website
    • Add Products: Within this menu, you can add new product on your website. There are some additional sub-panel to specify your product specification. They are:
      1. Product Type and visibility: Specify your product type and visibility. Specify is your product a virtual product or not, a downloadable product or not and is it featured product or not
      2. Product Data: You can specify the specification of your product. There are general information, tax information, inventory, sells information, attributes information and grouping information available to specify
      3. Product categories: Similar to post categories, you can specify which categories your product belongs to
      4. Product Tags: Similar to post tags, you can specify tags for your each product
    • Product Categories: Similar to Categories, you can add, edit and delete your ad categories you would use in your website
    • Product Tags: Similar to post tags, you can add, edit and delete your product tags you would use in your website
    • Attributes: You can specify an extra data for your product (e.g. size, color)
