Installing Wireline
There are two ways to install Wireline Premium theme on your WordPress:
1. Installing via WordPress Dashboard
- Navigate to your WordPress Admin Menu and open Appearance ? Themes section
- Switch to Install Themes tab
- Select Upload
- Browse for .zip file on your computer and install it
- Activate theme
2. Installing via FTP
- Open your FTP Client Application (example : FileZilla)
- Fill the login details (host, username, and password), then press Quickconnect
- Go to ‘wp-content’ folder
- Go to ‘themes’ folder
- Extract the wireline.zip file into your local drive then search the current location and upload the wireline-premium folder
Got an error during installation process? Try the following:
- If you are upgrading the wireline Premium theme via WordPress Admin menu, open your ‘Wireline.zip’, rename the ‘wireline‘ folder before uploading. Eg: wireline2. Then press Enter
- Make sure you are using the latest version of WordPress
- Make sure your hosting is running the latest version of PHP and MySQL
Try to upload manually via FTP (FileZilla)- Be sure you have at least PHP 4.3 with GD-library installed on your server. PHP 5 is better. GD library is something that can be installed by your web server admin. If you do not have this, you can ask for that to your web administrator, and also at least WordPress 3.5 engine is installed
Automatic Update:
At Wireline theme, starts from Wireline version 2.4.0 we already add a new feature which will help you to get the latest updates from us. You can update your framework first before updating your theme, this framework will bring several bug fix (the kitchen codes, core files). Also there is an automatic theme update which will help you to update the theme easily. If you have a problem when do the update, please:
- Make sure if your hosting provider support cURL feature
- Make sure if folder directory named wp-content permission at least 755 or 777
- Make sure if you are using the login information which is given when you purchase our products, also make sure if the information is valid. You can check your login information by login into our member site
Plugins Installation
Before you can fully use the powerful features of Wireline theme, you need to install several default plugins. Here are the instructions to set it up:
- Download and install WP-Post View from your member area or download from WordPress. After you finish downloading, open your WordPress Dashboard, go to Plugins ? Add new, click Upload, Browse your plugin, Install and Activate
- Download and install WP-Page Navi from your member area or download from WordPress. After you finish downloading, open your WordPress Dashboard, go to Plugins ? Add new, click Upload, Browse your plugin, Install and Activate
- Download and install WP-FlickrAPI from your member area or download from WordPress. After you finish downloading, open your WordPress Dashboard, go to Plugins ? Add new, click Upload, Browse your plugin, Install and Activate
Theme Overview
Theme Dashboard
Wireline is using a new version of our theme panel. This new panel will provide you to the more impressive experience to explore our themes.
There are 4 sub menus inside of it. They are:
Dashboard
Dashboard panel contains a few of settings to customize Wireline theme. Within this panel you can configure the theme and customize its layout. Just drag and drop the option from the left column into the right column to show all sub-options inside of it.
SEO Settings
This feature will help you who just new to WordPress. With this feature you don’t have to think about SEO, we already prepared all of your needs here, but still it is just a basic SEO function.
For you who have already known or maybe expert on WordPress, you can download many SEO plugins which are available at WordPress.org and our SEO function will automatically turned off to prevent a plugin crash.
Customizer Importer
This feature talking about WordPress v 3.4.1 new feature, MaxCustomizer. But this is not a customizer it is a function that will help you to import/export what you have customize on customizer. To check the MaxCustomizer settings, you can go to the theme demo page and click on Customizr icon (brush icon) to displaying the MaxCustomizer settings.
After you make some modification, you can export the MaxCustomizer from our demo page and import it to your theme dashboard at directory: WordPress dashboard ? Wireline ? Customizer Importer
Updates
If there is an update available, update feature will tell you by a notification. You can update your framework and theme automatically but be careful because if your site already modified a lot with theme update function, all of your work will be gone. So please make a back-up files first before updating your theme.
Note: If you have already updated your framework but your framework version still not updated and yellow notification has already appeared, it means if your framework already updated. To refresh the framework version information you can click on ‘updates’ tab and your framework version will be refreshed.
For theme update, make sure that your wp-content folder is not protected and also cURL is enabled at your hosting provider.
Adding Page
- Shortcodes: To use a shortcode, you can click on Lemuel’s head icon to check the options available
- Page Template: Wireline have several page templates which can be used to improve your blogging experience, they are sitemap and contact page template
- SEO: You can set the SEO options here individually. You can set SEO_follow (allow search engine to crawl on your post) or SEO_noindex (prevent search engine to crawl on your post)

Adding Post
- Shortcodes: To use a shortcode, you can click on Lemuel’s head icon to check the options available
- Custom Post Image: Basically custom post image is same as featured image which will not displayed on post content, just as the post thumbnail
- Video Embed Code: To have a video thumbnail displayed, you have to put the video embed code to this text area. Your code should be displayed like this one:

Make sure if you only use an embed code from popular video sharing like Youtube or Vimeo
- SEO: You can set the SEO options here individually. You can set SEO_follow (allow search engine to crawl on your post) or SEO_noindex (prevent search engine to crawl on your post)
Theme Options
To access the dashboard, you can go to WordPress dashboard ? Wireline ? Dashboard. You can drag and drop the menu navigation icon from left to right area to displaying an options behind it.
General Settings
- Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the General Settings icon from left to right section
- Theme Stylesheet: There are 5 theme stylesheet that you can use. They are Blue, Green, Brown, Black and Red
- Custom Logo: You can upload your own logo from this option with image dimension of 260 x 60 px (best display)
- Custom Favicon: You can also upload a custom icon as your site favicon
- Activate Tagline: By this option you can make a tagline of your WordPress site displayed
- Thumbnail Source: By this option you can choose the source of thumbnail that will be displayed on your site, you can choose to displaying the thumbnail from first image uploaded into post, featured image or image that uploaded into post custom image
- Cufon Fonts: By this option you can make the font that displayed at your site more smooth
- Category Spoiler: By this option you can choose which category should be displayed at category spoiler section (you can choose more than 1 post category)
- Category Spoiler Count: By this option you can define how many post that will be displayed at category spoiler section per category
- Exclude Category: By this option you can choose which post category that should be hidden at your site front page only
- Press Trends Tracking: This feature will help us to undestand how our customer use our themes, none of your personal information will be sent to us
- Disable Responsive: By this option you can choose whether to use a responsive design or not (by responsive design, your site will automatically resize depends on screen size)
Headline Slider Options
- Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Headline Slider Settings icon from left to right section
- Headline Category: By this option, you can choose which category should be displayed at headline section
- Headline Slide Counter: By this option, you can define how many post(s) will be displayed at headline section
- Headline Slide: By this option, you can choose which slide effect you want to use (you can choose more than 1 effect, the effect will be displayed randomly)
- Slide Speed: By this option you can define how fast your slider transition. The value must be in thousand (milliseconds)
- Slide Delay Time: By this option you can define how long your slide will pause before it start moving again (delay time). The value must be in thousand (milliseconds)
- Thumbnail Source: By this option you can choose the source of thumbnail that will be displayed on your site, you can choose to displaying the thumbnail from first image uploaded into post, featured image or image that uploaded into post custom image
Thumbnail Settings
- Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Headline Slider Settings icon from left to right section
- Custom Field Image: By this option you can define a custom name (id) for post custom image. This option only for development
Featured Settings
- Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Featured Settings icon from left to right section
- Featured Category: By this option, you can choose which post category should be displayed at featured section
- Featured Posts: By this option, you can choose how many post will be displayed at featured section
- Sticky Posts: By this option, you can choose how many sticky post will be displayed at featured section
- Featured Sidebar: By this option you can choose whether to displaying a popular posts or featured posts at vertical featured posts section beside the slider
- Featured Sidebar Post Count: If at option #5 you choose to displaying a popular posts, then by this option you can choose how many posts should be displayed
Sidebar Options
- Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Sidebar Settings icon from left to right section
- Subscribe: By this option you can choose whether to displaying subscribe section or not (subscribe by RSS)
- Facebook Like: By this option you can choose whether to displaying Facebook Like or not
- Flickr: By this option you can choose whether to displaying Flickr or not
- Video Post: By this option you can choose whether to displaying video post or not
- Video Category: If at option #5 you choose to displaying a video post, then you have to choose which category should be displayed at video section
- Archive: By this option you can choose whether to displaying posts archive or not
Social Networking
- Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Social Networking Settings icon from left to right section
- Social Url: By this option you can displaying a social network icons at your site just by putting your social network url at the forms. If you are not going to displaying a specific social network, then you can just put a [space] at the social url forms
- Enable/Disable Social Share Button: By this option you can choose which social share button you want to display, there are Facebook like button, Twitter share button and Google +1 button
Analytics Code and RSS
- Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Analytics Code and RSS Settings icon from left to right section
- GoSquared Token: You can integrate this theme with GoSquared by put your token at the text box
- Google Analytics: This theme also can be integrate with Google Analytics by put the analytics code at the text area
- FeedBurner URL: To enable the FeedBurner feature, you can put the url of your feed at the text box
Single Page Ad
- Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Single Page Ad Settings icon from left to right section
- Adsense Code: There are 2 options available that you can use in order to displaying an ads. The first option is Adsense, you can put your adsense code at the text area to displaying it
- Image Location: The next option to displaying an ads is by upload your image ads then put your destination url at the forms below. This ads image will not working if you already put an adsense code at the text area
Sidebar Ad 1 & 2
- Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Sidebar ad 1/2 Settings icon from left to right section
- Adsense Code: There are 2 options available in order to displaying an ads at sidebar, the first option is adsense code, you can put any adsense code in the text area. This adsense code is the top priority, which means if you already put a code on the text area, another ads option will be hidden
- Image Ads: Another option available is an image ads. To use this image ads, you can upload your image with maximum dimension of 300 x 250px (width x height). After upload your images, make sure if you put your url at the destination url text field
Contact Form
- Options: To displaying the options, you can drag the Contact Form Settings icon from left to right section
- Destination Address: You can put your e-mail address at the text field, all email inquiry made at contact page template will be send to this e-mail address
Miscellaneous
Create Sticky Post

To create a sticky post, you can go to WordPress dashboard → Posts → All Posts. After you access the url, you will found a page like the screen shot above.
To make your post(s) become sticky, you can hover your post and you will found several links, click on quick edit to displaying the advance option. Please notify if there is an option named make this post sticky, you can tick the option to make your post become sticky.
