  • Watch the sun rise over Angkor Wat

Start your honeymoon off on the right foot by wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Angkor Wat Temple. This follows traditional rituals of welcoming the new day with the sunrise with your loved one. Now be forewarned, you will be leaving your hostel around 4:30am, but ask to have a breakfast packed so you can do a picnic breakfast at the temple.

  • Take a romantic walk through remote temples

In and around Siem Reap there are plenty of temples outside of just Angkor Wat. If you like to get a little alone time with your honey and explore remote temples, we have a few suggestions for you! Visit Beng Mealea if you want to be astounded by the magical lotus pond or visit Kbal Spean which is known for the stone bridge that you can walk across to the ruins, lastly you can visit Phnom Kulen which is known for the surrounding mountains of Kulen and the amazing waterfalls you can hike to!

  • Hike to Kulen Waterfalls

Speaking of waterfalls….it isn’t directly in Siem Reap but if you want to take a day excursion to see a phenomenal waterfall you need to visit Kulen waterfalls! This is one of the most specatacular waterfalls in the area and a “don’t miss” for our honeymoon list. Located in the Valley of a 100 Lingas near the Status of Reclining Buddha. A perfect place to hike, spend a romantic afternoon and take a refreshing swim after your hike.

  • Relax with a couple’s massage

There many options that you can do if you are wanting to relax on your honeymoon especially if you have been taking our advice up till this point and have been up early and hiking a lot. You need a good massage, why not get it with your new spouse? There are several spa centers in Siem Reap that offer affordable options and have space for couples’ massages.

  • Shop at night markets

Just a quick jaunt away from the nightlife areas of Siem Reap is the Angkor Night Market. This is the city’s first night market that has over 200 vendors and shops selling souvenirs, trinkets, and Khmer artefacts for your take home.

Getting Around

If you are trying to figure out transportation to Siem Reap, let us help you! If you choose to fly prepare to be routed through Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City and Vientiane. You don’t have to apply for a visa prior to arriving, you can receive on at the airport after landing – Cambodia gets a lot of nomads and backpackers, so we are used to having visas processed last minute for those travelers wanting to extend their traveling experience.
