I am a fan of Cannabis-infused edibles; as such, I love to experiment with making my own edibles. Honey (or CannaHoney) is a natural fit if you have a sweet tooth like me. It is an excellent addition to your Edible Recipes. CannaButter is great in baked goods, but Canna Oil allows you to experiment in new ways with savory dishes. On the other hand, CannaHoney opens up an entirely new area for you to experiment in, especially with sweets; add a little sweet cannabis-infused Honey to nearly any dish. It’s as simple as adding a spoon full of honey to your oatmeal in the morning or an afternoon cut of Tea. It can be discrete for those needing a medical dose during the day of a great party favor; the sky is the limit!
There are so many CannaHoney recipes out there, try different ones until you find the one you like best.
Canna Honey Recipe
¾ cup plus one scant Tbsp/ 273 g high-quality honey
3 TBSP/ 38g canna coconut oil melted
½pt glass mason jar with a tight-fitting lid
In a blender, combine canna coconut oil and honey. Blend on high for one minute until combined and transfer to a small bowl. Use a rubber spatula to scrape the sides and blend the honey and oil as much as possible. Place in refrigerator for 2 hours for the mixture to chill.
Remove from refrigerator and whisk the mixture. This 2nd mixing helps emulsion and has a more evenly blended mixture. Transfer honey mixture in a glass jar and secure with lid. Label and date jar. Refrigerate for up to 3 months.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT CANNAHONEY
We have received many questions about Cannabis honey, so we have included some of those questions and answers here. Drop us a line if we missed anything.
Will CannaHoney produce effects in Tea?
Yes! That’s the main reason that I make CannaHoney – when in need of a pick me up, just steep your Tea in the honey. Experimenting is what makes this a great way to ingest your cannabis; try something different from time to time and see the results. Try adding a little CannaHoney to “sweeten” your existing recipes.
Does Baking with CANNA HONEY SMELL
This is one of the most common questions we get. As long as you decarbed your weed correctly, the Cannabis smell will be minimal. Depending on the stain you choose, some bud has a very potent smell and can cause your house to smell during the cooking process, but after you complete your honey and store it, the smell has largely dissipated, so the end product is very discrete.
What Works Best For Food Infusion – Cannabutter, Canna Oil, or Canna Honey
This ultimately varies depending on your recipe and strain. CannHoney is a little more versatile since it is sweet and goes with just about anything. Butter and oil need to be mixed with other ingredients, so it is not as flexible but just as potent.
How long will my Canna Honey last
If you store your Canna Honey in an airtight container and a cool dark place, it will preserve it for about six months with no spoilage. After six months, you may want to give it a once-over to make sure it is still good.
Is Canna Honey Good for Dogs
I would not recommend feeding your dogs CAnna Honey as they may take it well. It is not likely to kill your dog, but it may trip them out.
Is Canna honey Good in the Microwave?
We don’t recommend making CannaHoney in the Microwave (we prefer our low and slow method), but you can put it in the Microwave when you’re using it in your cannabis edibles recipes.
