How to throw an ‘Instagramworthy’ Hen do!

With wedding season amongst us, our Instagram feeds are full of aspirational wedding photography and hen party ‘goals’. Gone are the days where you’d round up your best girls for a night of heavy drinking at the local, these days it’s all about cocktails in Marbella, poolside inflatables, and matching swim gear.  Organising a hen do that’s both fun and photogenic can be quite a challenge – lucky for you, we’ve got 5 tips to make your last night of freedom a one to remember.

Pimp your prosecco

A well-stocked bar is a hen party essential, but adding some glam to your drinks will instantly elevate the evening from drab to fab. Drinks shimmers and bursting bubbles can be added to gin and prosecco for a hint of flavour and the sparkling finish leaves your drink looking picture perfect. Plus, prosecco gifts are guaranteed to make any brides day!

Stick to a consistent colour scheme

You picked out the colour scheme for the wedding months ago, so why would the hen do be any different? When it comes to making the party the most Instagrammable event of the year, hen night decorations should not be overlooked. Rose gold, millennial pink, and soft grey are all super trendy – choose a consistent theme covering everything from ‘team bride’ bunting, to lettered balloons and silly confetti, to tasselled garlands.

Coordinate your outfits

Looking and feeling your best is an essential part of your hen party experience. Whether you choose mock bridal wear, or gather your girls in consistently coloured evening dresses, the most important thing is that you stand out. Shun the tacky stereotypes of the ‘bride to be’ sash and tiara in favour of a classy white outfit, contrasted by your bridal party in a different colour.

Create a hashtag to commemorate the day

As the bride, you won’t want to spend your hen night as the designated photographer. Setting up a hashtag is a great way to commemorate your hen party and will help you collate all the photographs, so you can decide which ones you want to repost later.

DIY a photo booth

Rapidly becoming a wedding party essential, photo boots are a great way to encourage your guests to get snap happy! When it comes to the hen do, choose accessories that fit with your theme, but don’t be afraid to have a little fun with this – after all, the most important thing is that you enjoy your last night as a Miss!
